Our Story

Decades in the making, Hawthorn Steak House has redefined the culinary experience into a feast for the senses and the soul.  The menu showcases only the finest ingredients nature has created in a unique setting that elevates responsible living into an art form.

Farm to Table


Our executive chef carefully observes the growth of each ingredient that we humbly present to our guests. Using artisan cultivation techniques, the entire kitchen team encourages our produce to grow to their inner potential without the interferences of industrial manipulation. All of our ingredients are organic, vegan, gluten-free and grown entirely on premises. Each plant has a chance to live a meaningful life before being picked at the conclusion of its full lifecycle. We wouldn't have it any other way.

Dining Experience

Hawthorn Steak House is committed to the highest standards of responsible living. It is integrated into every detail of the breathtaking experience.

Each course is served on biodegradable plates made from freeze dried lettuce leaves and cutlery fashioned from Brooklyn spruce tree twigs carved by our in-house team of craftspersons.  The restaurant's electricity is mechanically generated through all natural bicycle pedal power.  We serve only reclaimed rainwater captured on our roof and gently filtered through repurposed table napkins. All of our team members further reduce our environmental impact by residing on site in our dining room during non-operating house. Together we make no difference to the environment.  Visit our one-of-a-kind dining room to experience it for yourself.

Hawthorn Steak House began as a labor of love when the founders realized that it was impossible to find a high-quality dining experience that fed both their bodies and souls.

At Hawthorn Steak House, impeccable service and self-actualization co-exist. Our egalitarian waitstaff will guide and encourage you through each step of placing and retrieving your delicious meal.

Our entire operational and management team is proudly unionized. We all have equal voices in every decision and share equally in the financial and spiritual rewards of our employment.
